A WATERSIDER’S DEATH
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES (United Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day In the Arbitration Court the widow of Walter Pearson claimed £652 damages from the New Zealand Shipping Company on account of the death of her husband, a waterside-worker, who it was alleged was injured by a sling of limber on one of the defendant’s steamers. A point in dispute was whether the accident really set up the condition of health which eventually caused death. Decision was reserved.
