Pukelcoho Handicap: Rafa 1; Sheffield 2; Pavo : Scratched: Golden Bubble, Master O’Rourke, Emerald Hill, Elbe. Won by a length and a quarter. Time 1.8. Matamata Handicap : Bute Sound 1 ; Arch Laddie 2; Royal Box 3. All started . Won by a neck. Time 1.52. Morinsville Hurdles : Pittsworth 1 ; Hokemai 2; Flowing Bowl 3. Scratchecl: Thiganthu, Prince Rufus, Elstow. Won by half a length. Time 3.40. Walton Handicap : King Pelliculo 1; Bright Light 2; Arizonia 3. Scratched: Pretty Man, Just Quietly. A neck. The result of the Eclipse Stakes came as asurprisc as Lord Astor also ran. Bold and Bad, which was ridden by Frank Bullock, finished fourth.
