MOTUEKA
TERRITORIAL DANCE (From Our Own Correspondent). A most- enjoyable Territorial dance was held in (be Institute Hall on Tuesday evening. The function had been intended as a send-olf to Staff Sergf.Major Siuittleworlb, but, owing to his unexpected departure- on Tuesday morning, it reverted into a Territorial dance. The door was in splendid order, and Mr Harold Williams at the piano rendered delightful music to about sixty couples, about fourteen couples having journeyed from Nelson to attend the dance. Major D. \V. Trdhot ably carried out the duties of Af.C. During the. evening Misses Thelma Durbridgec and Lona Rowling favoured the dancers with several vocal items, which were thoroughly appreciated. An excellent, supper was provided and served by Misses T. Durbridge, 1. O’Brien, K. Fowler, L. Rowling and M. Duncan- Dancing continued until the early morning, ‘the function being proclaimed by ah a huge success.
