SWALLOW'S 6000-MILE FLIGHT A ringed swallow, which was liberated from Langharne, a village in in Carmarthenshire, Wales, has been picked up dead on a farm near Johannesburg, South Africa, 6000 miles away. This is the first time actual proof has been obtained of a swallow's flight from Wales to South Africa.
