GERMANY
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association). BERLIN, April 26. Intensity of feeling is aroused by the growth of the irregular armed forces in Germany, both Nationalist and Socialist, illustrated by simultaneous debates in the .Reichstag arid Bavarian Diet. In the latter case Socialists accused the Government of conniving at the formation of bodies which were leading to civil war or war with h ranee. The Bavarian Minister vfor Interior, Herr Scliwoyor, praised the Nationalist movement as healthy and most welcome, but lie 'would not allow it to interfere with politics or disturb internal peace. The Socialists’ demand for a dissolution of the irregulars was rejected. There was a Similar debate in (ho Reichstag concerning the growth of “meeting protection guards, which are being* formed l>y both sides against interference by extremists. Reports from Munich show that the Nationalists, heartened by the vote in the Bavarian Diet, are more than ever determined to prevent th& arrest of their leaders, though it is understood that some Bavarian ministers dissent from Herr Schwever’s eulogy of the Nationalists’ fire-eating activities.
