PEKIN, March The popular protest against Japan's refusal to release- Dalny and Port Arthur, and abrogate, the, twenty-one demands is gaining large proportions throughout the nation. Members of the Chinese Parliament have advised the people to start demonstrations against Japan. Mass meetings and parades were held and resolutions passed asking for the stoppage of commercial relations ; \vitli Japan aud calling upon other nations to support China in her demands. Students hied documents . with the Diplomatic Corps asliing its aid to obtain the lost .ports. Parliament is also pressing the Cabinet-, to. despatch a second note on ,tho subject to-Tokio, ~. . . .. LANSING-ISHII AGREEMENT CANCELLED WASHINGTON, March" 30. The Lansing-Ishii agreement, under which in 1917 the United States recognised Japan's special interests in China, has been cancelled by mutual agreement between the Washington and Tokio Governments. Diplomatic negotiations resulted in a new understanding based primarily on the provisions of the ninepower agreement reached at the Washington Conference. _
