POLICE RAID

ON A WELLINGTON GAMBLING RESORT (United Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. As a result of a police raid on premises in Tory Street last night 30 men appeared at the Magistrate's Court today charged with offences under tho Gaming Act. James Mason, who pleaded guilty 1,0 keeping premises as a commons gaming house was fined £IOO, or default three months' imprisonment. Robeit Raymond Fitzsimmons, convicted; On a charge of. assisting in conducting the premises, was fined £SO, in default two .months' imprisonment. Each of the other 28 defendants was fined £5 on a charge of being found in a common gaming house.
