ANNUAL DOMINION" CONFERENCE (United Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Churches of. Christ .are holding tho annual Dominion Conference, with a large nuttiber of delegates. In • his fifesidehtiabi address Mr Cairns (Lower iutt) appealed to the churches to rise to, the great opportunity. Men were seeking for light and truth and the plea was being put forward for a return to Christ and His teaching., Thursday was devoted to womens r work. Miss Oldneld (Wellington) presiding. The report showed'that the women of the Church had been busy amongst the poor. and the children. The financial sheets showed that money had been raised for missionaries 'in South Africa , and for home work. The j president-elect of the women's work is Mrs Theodore Arnold snd the secretary, Miss Lydia Neib The Home Mission's returns show additions to the churches for the year: The president-elect is Mr. J- Jumbles Wright (Dunedin); the executive remaining in Wellington. > The next conference will be held at South Dunedin.
