A LOVE-SICK MUSIC TEACHER
SERENADES PUPIL (United Press Association). DUNEDIN, March 27. An unusual case in the Police Court was that in which Joseph (M'Evoy was summoned to show cause why he should not be bound over to keep* the peace, the information alleging that he had acted offensively, by following a young lady and accosting her. . Complainant's counsel stated that complainant's mother had sent her to the defendant for music some, two years ago. M'Evoy told the mother of his fueling for the girl, and she took her daughter away. For two years he had been following her about, waiting for her on the street. and taking trams. He would whistle for hours outside, their house. Even 45 minutes spent in the Tudor Restaurant did not wear out his fiatience. No allegation was made against, lis conduct as a teacher. Defendant denied following the girl, and promised to leave the girl alone. The case accordingly was adjourned for six mouths.
