GALES IN ENGLAND
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. »• LONDON, Dec. 20. Fierce gales and snow storms swept the south of England and Midland. A small steamer foundered in the Channel, two of the crew being drowned. The vest of the crew were adrift in a boat for twelve hums and were rescued in an exhausted condition.
