O'Regan,' barrister and solicitor, ail of Wellington:— 1. We arc asked to advise succinctly what acts a person will be prohibited frojn doing .if National Prohibition conies into force in New Zealand pursuant to the provisions of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1918. 2. We advise that in that event a person may not do any of the following things: (a) He may not manufacture intoxicating liquor of any description, even for his own- private, personal, or do, mestic use. (b) may not import it into New Zealand. * .(e) He may not set! it, nr have it in his possession for the purposes of sale. 3. The doing of any of these prohibited acts is constituted an offence against the Statute, punishable by a fine not exceeding P.IOO in the case of a first offence, and by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months in the ease of a second or any subsequent offence. ’ (Signed) G.
