Colonel Amerv, speaking at Kings College, referring to European reconstruction, said that what he believed the present Government intended to do was to lend a helping hand on any practical lines to (hose whom we fought during (he war. , Apart from such necessary and limited help as we could give from time to lime our chief task should be, not to concern oursclyds so much with European reconstruction as with the economic recovery and reconstruction of the British Empire.
