(By “Skirmisher.”) As recently published, the results of the Ridiford Cup competition were as, follows:—Nelson* College first; Scots College (Wellington) second; and Hamilton High School third. The College Cadets are to be heartily congratulated on their success. - A feature of the parade was tho steadiness of all ranks during tho inspection, and it is doubtful if any paints wore lost during this part of the examination. Tho results, of this company should encourage the remainder of the 9fch Cadet Battalion in the various competitions which are held during tho year. rr A class for N.0.0.’s of I the 2ml Battalion Canterbury Regiment has been commenced on Monday nights. A novel feature is the introduction of leetnrettes on subjects of general military interest whereby it is hoped to encourage an intelligent appreciation of current events. Each N.C.O. is required to deliver a short lecturette on elementary training, the idea being to increase their confidence and ability to instruct. The Richmond Cadets liave recently started their musketry course, and the following are the best scores to date in the- classification - practices. Possible 120 and marksman 8-3 per cent.;—E. IV.
