EXPORT OF APPLES
THE GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE The following telegram was sent by Mr H.. Atmore to the Prune Minister to-day:—“Pleased to see you when you visit Nelson, as I wish to > introduce’ a deputation from apple growers re guarantee of 11/-, per rase up to 100,000 cases only. Crop will be heavy and probably provide 200,000 to 300,000 cases for export. We really require a guarantee, of 12/6 on each case up jto the 200,000 or 300,000 available. Tim industry needs help at present and as help was afforded other primary industries at critical times we hope for similar treatfiient. . Kind Regards.”
