NFLSON BOWLING CLUB
At a meeting of the general committee of the Nelson Bowling Club (Mr C. Leaper presiding) it .was unanimously deckled to hold an .attractive " three days' tournament at Easter in aid of the new green fund, utilising the present green in Selwyn Place and the two new greens near Church Hill. It was decided to ask the sister clubs in Nelson and district to assist, the funds by allowing their grounds to bp used for the tournament. Already a large response is promised from Wellington. Mr R. W. Shallcrass has intimated his willingness to nrrango for a concert party of Wellington's best talent, and to give an entertainment in aid of the fund. It was resolved to accept the offer with thanks.
It was also agreed to- organise a mon sler art union in aid of the fund .
Resolved ,that the Plunket Society be permitted to take up a collection on the present green in aid of their funds. It was'also decided that in the championships (senior and junior) and champion pairs, the play should J.™ the best two out of three games.
