LONDON WOOL SALES
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated Hth inst., from the High Commissioner for New Zealand:— , , Wool; —Sales opened yesterday with large attendance Home and Continental buy era. Competition brisk ,and practically all offering sold. Greasy merino poorlv represented, but may be quoted 5 per cent dearer. . Fine crossbred and medium crossbred , greasy 10 pe v cent, coarse crossbred 5 per cent dearer. Scoured and slipe unchanged. . Messrs E. Buxton, and Co. Ltd., advise havin g I received' d further <&B1«gram from their London ' agents, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Elder, Ltd., relating to the present series of London wool sales, under date October 13th reading as follows ‘Market continues very firm. Crossbred greasy fine, par to five per cent, advance; greasy medium advanced five per cent.”
