The passenger imer City of Honolulu, from Honolulu for law Angeles, is on lire live hundred miles west of Los Angeles, A wireless message stated that she was lowering boats and asked assistance. Her position was 31. north and 131 west. Later messages slates; that all Dio passengers were Iranslerml to file boats. It is believed there are four hundred aboard the liner, which was ■formerly the North German-Lloyd Eivderich Dor Grosso, and latterly had been running between Honolulu and- San Pedro. 'The lire, proved to he uncontrollable and the ship was completely abandoned. The steamer Enterprise is expeted to arrive in the vicinity of the boats at noon. It is also stated that a ship not named is picking up passengers.
