SYDNEY, Aug. 1. Dr. Cilento, Commonwealth medical officer for tropical hygiene, returned after an absence of two years studying methods of prevention and cure of tropi cal disease. During that time he has made close investigations in New Guinea and results emphasised the fact that whites could live and thrive in the tropics if they would readjust their ideas about food, habits and clothing. The doctor said that conformity to correct tropical hyiene would that Australians could administer _ New Guinea in comfort and with efficiency. The greatest problem there was to save the native race, which was fast dying out.
