WASHINGTON, July 31. Tiie wool battle ended when the last wool rates recommended by the Senato Finance Committee wore passed—woollen blankets from 20 to *lO cents a pound or 25 to 35 per cent, ad valorem; certain materials, containing wool, such as laces, holts, etc., 49 cents a pound or 00 per cent, ad valorem; knitted woollen goods 09 to 49 cents a pound or 35 to 50 per cent, ad valorem.
