WEDDING

WISHNWSKY—E\VEHB A very prettv -wedding was, solemnised at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church/ Upper Moutere, on Wednesday, May- 31st, . when Lorna Grade, fourth daughter pi Mrs-and the late Mr C. Evers''of Neu- , dorf, was’married to Edward t ,Barthold youngest son- of Mr C. F. Wishnowsky, i-of Halcombe. The bride, wlip entered I the church on her brother’s am,Jooked ver charm ing in a beautiful dress of ivory crape-de-chene trimmed witli pearls ajid ’silver lace, and carried a Tjeiutiful bouquet of asparagus fern and white and pink rose-buds, and wore the customary / veil and orange blosom. She was attepd- j ed by Miss Hilda Ewers,' sister of ttne .1 bride, and Miss Esther Eg gets, cousin of the bride. ' They wore lovely frocks of pink and blue crepe-de-chene respec* tively, with black hats, and wore goldbrooches, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried bouquets of ’asparagus fern A with white chrysanthemums with touches * of pink. Mr Fred Schultz,' friend of the bridegroom, acted as best’ man, and Mr Rupert Egger's, cousin of the bride, ,as groomsman. The bridegroom’s gift' to ■ the bride was a silver-mounted black morocco hand-bag and the bride’s gift to the bridegroom, a travelling rug. The service which■ was choral was conducted by the Rev. Apphelt. Miss F. Drogemuller presided at the organ and most tastefully rendered appropriate music, The chmch was prettily decorated by'"'’'' friends of the bride. At tine conclusion of the service, from 80 to 90 guests were entertained, at the bride’s homs “Roselyn Neudorf” to a 'sumptuous repast," held in a large marquee, erected for the purpose.' After the usual toasts had been duly honoured a most enjoyable evening was spent. The wedding presents were very numerous handsome, including many cheques. The happy couple left for Riwaka, where they ' spent a few days, before leaving - for 1 their future home in the North Island. The bride was also the recipient of-many useful articles at a kitchen party' iield during , the previous week.
