A LIVELY DEBATE (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z t Cable Association.) LONDON, April 4. In the House of Commons, Sir W. Joyn.von-Hicks moved a motion that the lock of a definite coherent principle ih the policy of the Coalition Government can only be remedied by a ministry of men united in political principle. A lively debate followed, malcontents urging the return to party politics and accusing the Government of incompetence and muddling. Mr Chamberlain, replying, was received with prolonged cheers. _ He said Sir W. Joynson-llieks and his friends were laying down a sort of new, Athanasian Creed outside which .no salvation was obtainable. They stood for perfect unity of thought in the counsels of the nation. There must be no corrupt cooperation, not even a chance meeting in the division lobby. (Laughter.) Mr Chamberlain added that the motion was an utter sham. . The motion was rejected by 233 to 95. LONDON, April 6. In repiv to a question in the House of Commons, Sir R. Horne said the Irish Provisional Government could not impose new taxation till the i constitution was established. Sir R.
