SOUTH AFRICA AND MOZAMBIQUE

In the Assembly, General Smuts announced that the Union Government lias denounced the Mozambique Convention, which had been in existence since before the Union, and regulates the distribution of railway traffic to the Transvaal, between tho Portuguese and Union ports; also tlic supply of native labour from Portuguese territory to the Rand. General Sumts said both sides were dissatisfied with tho terms, but tho Portuguese Government had been invited to a, conference at Capetown to discuss tiie terms of a new. convention.
