FALL OF COAL

FOUR MINERS BURIED (Bv Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, Dec. 13 A fall of coal at Stanford Merthyr colliery, near Kurrikurri, buried four men—Robert Irving, Ezra Rawlmgs, Meredith Wiiliams, and Reginald Tucker. Irving was working in the tops when a fall of tops occurred entombing him. The other three rushed to. the rescue and in attempting to extricate him were buried by a second fall. After heroic work in the danger zone, tho miners recovered the entombed men. When found, Irving was dead, and the other three seriously injured.
