ENTRIES CLOSE TO-MORROW
The Nelson Horticultural Society s Summer Show will be held at tho -Drill Hall on Friday and Saturday next. Entries close to-morrow, and may bo made at: Messrs Hommcll and Co. s during the day, and at Mr S. .Boltons from 7to 5) P-ni. ~ . The schedule provides ior pot plants, sweet peas, carnations, antirrhinums, pensiemons, and all-other .stuiKonablo cut flowers; decorative classes; litnt; and vegetables. . , . A number of good special prizes arc offered, an additional one being J.os for tho best decorated basket of sweet P( flio sweet pea classes onahlci the smallest growers •to compete, and there should bo good entries in these. Attention is also directed to a new class for penstemons. _ Children’s decorative classes are provided, also a water colour painting hv children under 14, and the customary buttonhole classes.
