ACCIDENT
SCHOOLTiOY FRACTURES A LEG Shortly ho fore 9 o’clock this forenoon schoolboy named Alfred Mar-, shall, 11 years of ago, whose parents rosiclo at the’- Fort, had one of his legs fractured near the Haven Road School ns the result of an accident. The lad, suddenly appeared from behind .fi motor lorry ,and stanch the wheel of a taxi (tah driven by All* Gurkett, who was coming in the opposite direction. Fortunately the car was not _ travelling at a fast speed .and the driver aid his utmost io avoid an accident, pnl!mg hard into the side- ot the road. The lad was attended to by Dr \\ashhour n. and was later taken to the Hospital. The practice of children running from behind vehicles is an extremely da no-crons one, and the most- careful drivers of cars find it difficult to avoid accidents in oases of' this kind.
