GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE CRITICISM BY MR ASQUITH (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association ' LONDON, Oct. 27. Mr Asquith, speaking at Tunbridge Wells, stated that the Government s expenditure on unemployment in its profligacy and wantonness was. unparalleled in the history of this or any other country. Dealing with unemployment, be said the first solution was that the Allies should wipe out the indebtedness to each other. Tiio second solution was to revise the whole scheme of indemnities and reparations. INSURANCE EXTENDED TO ; * IRELAND '"London, om. 27. The House of Commons adopted a Government amendment extending the Unemployed Insurance Bill to Ireland after Sir F. Banbury had protested against extending the benefit ado disloyalists ,and suggested that the B be extended to Ulster only, fhe B 1 passed the committee.
