A resume of the year's work was lead by Mi. 'L'uutts, secretary, tn the following effect: —That af'er a considerable lapse the Association was called into being again on January 31st, 1920, when an energetic executive was elected, with Mr. W. IT.m/.ies as chairman. A syllabus was drawn up, which had p-'ovided some very interesting papers, by members, leading (o instructive discussions. The chairman had at dilCereiif tinted attended the conferences of the Provincial Council, and had been instrumental in securing packing classes held by the Department's instructor in the local packing shed, and also in arranging for a very instructive address given by D.r. Tillyard, of the ("awthton Instil ute. A. committee had been- set up to endeavour to acquire Stafford's Bush as a public reserve, and another lo acquire the piece of land at Mapna offered bv Mr. Ledger for t he .same' purpose, which latter is now practically accomplished, the land to be vested in the hands of the VVaimea County Council on behalf of the residents of Mapua.
