Millers'-Cave steadied down in their wheat purchases, and apparently are not coing to stock up again for some time to come Most of them novo already a, ninth's or six weeks* supply on hand, and as there is plenty of wheat in sight for ten or eleven months, at tn 0 fixed price, they are not likely to buy except ket is if anything, weaker than was th_ case during the past few weeks, due to Southland farmers accepting low prices for new season's oats. Generally speaking Southland oats are better in colour and heavier than those locally grown. Most of *■_? oats offered here 7 aye under grade and the quality is poor. The outside value of chaff is now giysn at about £53, and somn of it to £2 10s White clover is quoted at from lOd to Is M. The demand for linscod.in ihe Dominion, is small, and there is* no export f ra do in vie* at ore?ent. A few snlos have been effected at £lO per ton. Ryegrass is being offered at lower rates in Southland, consequently prices hero ar 0 affected.
