Weeks, daughter of the Dean of Nelson, a student of Canterbury College. Mr and Mrs. E. J. .Scantlebury, of Reefton, leave by the Tahiti on Wednesday week on a tour of America, England, France, and Belgium, and expect to be absent until about the end of the year. Mr. and Mrs. Scantlebury have recently returned from a holiday visit to the North Island, with the object of choosing a suitable town in which to and have decided to live in Nelson on their return to the Dominion. Mr. Scantlebuay is one of the West Coast representatives on the Education Board. Th 0 Rc v - H. L Blamires, who takes up his ministry a t St. John's Methodist Church, Nelson, next month, was educated at Wesley College, Melbourne, where he later entered business life. He joined the ministry in 1896. and has been minister of Trinity Church, Wanganui, during the past seven years. He, served with the Main Body, N.Z.E.F., in Egypt and Gallipoli with, the Canterbury " Mounted Rifles as chaplain, and also in France and Belgium with the N.Z. infantry. Mir. Manures represented the Wangan'ui R.S.A. on the Repatriation Committee, ami lie is also well known as a representative cricketer in Hawke's Bay and Wanganui. He was also for two years organising secretary for the N.Z. Methodist Bible Class movement, in which capacitv he conducted a mission •'» St. John's'Clmrch, Nelson. At the unanimous invitation of the Vestry of All Saints' Church. Mr John "Tait. A.Jt.C.O., 'principal of the Nelson Academy of Music, lias agreed to take no the'duties of organist and choirmaster, and will commence there immediately after Easter.
