In cases in which the disability is one requiring urgent treatment the soldier may report to, or, if necessary call in .an officer of the New Zealand Medical Corps or civilian practitioner. . . . If the disability is accepted as a liability by the Defence Department that Department will pay the medical practitioner only for one attendance and one supply of medicine, unless authority is obtained from the Assistant Director of Medical Services for further treatment.
