Messrs Townsend and Paul, Ltd., report that during the past fortnight Wellington has been over-supplied with large quantities of inferior quality apples, which has had the effect of lowering prices for the better grades of fruit. We would recommend consignments of only A grade apples., as apples of inferior quality are unsaleable on the Wellington market at the present time.
