Tho Commission hoard lengthy evidence regarding the alleged mismanage mont of Government farms, involving neglect, of stock. It was said that the farms were ini a deplorable condition., and that many of the stock were allowed f° g° unbranded or were wrongly branded. One witness stated .that the wild natives were addicted to cannibalism, and believed it, proper to eat any of their rclajtivae who died away from their own country, as, if they did V| et their spirit, would never return to thvbnative land.
