HAMILTON, This Day. A scene occurred a.t the Magiav Ue's Court. Mr Grilles was asking a client (ertiiin quesk'iis \v f --n Matrist-rto* i'uf ton 'viid h a . could not allow leading questions. Mr Gilii’es put, the questions in another way, buy the Magistrate still held that the evidence was inadmissible.
Mr Gillies, saying-, “Very well, I will leave the Court,” hruriedly left the Conic, his client folio-wing. The Magistrate said he did not car© to give judgment in th 6 absence of the parties and adjourned “the case. Upon resuming, Mr Gillies did not appear and the Magistrate adjourned the Court for half an hour and sum-' moned Mr Gillies to appear Upon resuming again, Mr Gillies was still absent and the. Magl-ti-ate adjourned the case till Augusj, IB hj, Mr Gillies being summoned to appear.
