As the tenure of appointment of Sir Francis Bell tq_ the Legislative Council would expire bn 10th July next, being seven years from the date of his call apd as it is possible that the Governor General may not have returned to New Zealand from Samoa by that 'date, Sir Francis Bell, resigned his seat and has been reappointed to the Council.
