NEW. YORK, 'May 14
The New Yoi-k Herald’s Warsaw correspondent states that an unsuccessful attempt was nvclc to assassinate Paderewski by two Bolshevists, who drew revolvers' and attempted to fire at dose range. The crowd prevented them from shooting, and afterwards beat the Bolshevists' till they were nearly dead before the police arrived to rescue them.
