CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Conciliation Council failed . to a ,rre© ve wages, overtime and holidays in the ’dispute between shdp assistants and soft goods employers. A. proposal bv the assistants to close the shops at 5/30 on ordinary days was refused by tile employers,' who also opposed being Parcelled to pay assistants who are sick. The. dispute has been adjourned to allow employers to confer amongst themselves.
