" STILL GRAVE. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) LONDON, April 30. The Times Cairo correspondent learns from reliable sources that the appearance of restored quietude is only superficial. The provincial natives at present seem to submit, but outbreaks would recur immediately if the troops were withdrawn. Cairo serves as the nerve centre of the agitation of a clique of lawyers, students, and Azharitos, wbo inspire and direct the ferment over the whole country. Motor cycling agents are sent out, and a succession of Troubles mark their trail everywhere, Only fifteen per cent, of the native officials have resumed work in Cairo. Secret intimidation of the remainder persists. Despite its warning the Government still delays the threatened drastic action which is obviously unavoidable. SITUATION QUIETER. (Australian & N.Z.
