FRATERNAL BONDS

Referring to the report that France had made a grant of Vimy Ridge to Canada, Lieut. General Sir John Monash, (the Australian Commander), stated that it would be generous if France granted similar portions to South Africa and New Zealand. Such gifts would create a never-to-be-forgotten bond of fraternitv with France,
