A chauffeur named Purton, in attempting to board the Mam Trunk express to’ -day before L stopped in order to secure a seat for a lady passenger, fell between the platform and the train, Purton had a miraculous escape from death, being caught* between the interlocking points on the ground and the compensation bar of the bogie: which projects over the wheels.
