At the Girls’ Central School yesterday afternoon, a presentation of a handsome electro-plated thermos flask was made by the pupils of the Sixth Standard to Miss V. C. Farnie, who isis leaving *.o take up an appointment at the Akaroa High 'School.
At the request of his department Air J. R. Strachan, who was about to proceed to Wellington, is remaining in the Nelson Land Office for a time.
