The firs l number of the journal is to hand, and the proprietor;will, no doufefc, meet With the success that his enterprise deserves. The ■ issue is well arranged, abounds in excellent specimens of the photographer’s art, and 1 contains Interesting - articles on bbwling. In addition to the ’ editorial there is a narticle by -Mr S. H. Underwood, on the control of bowling in Nev,v Zealand. The Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), the Hon. Arthur Myers (act-ing-Minister for Finance), and the Hon. J. A. Hanaji (Minister for Education), are among the contributors, as arc Messrs Flemming, Laurenson,' -J. D. Sievwright, and Edward H.’ Fountain, each of whom is a recosnisfed authority on -how the game should - he' played.
