ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.

f 1 , (United Press Association ) , . - AUCKLAND, Feb. 5. A" well-known resident of Onehunga, Mr R. S. Martin, died this afternoon as, 1 , the result of an accident. The deceased had been ill for a long time, and Was 'resting in his garden. He decided to shoot some quail, which were a source of annoyance. He procured a shot-gun, and was proceeding down the garden when, owing to his weak state, ho* stumbled and fell, causing the gum to be fired. The whole of ’ the charge entered his abdomen, and some time later he died from shock' and hemorrhage.
