NELSON GROCERS' COMPLAINT,

The Board of Trade, composed of Messrs W. G. McDonald, P. Hally and Dr. H-ight reached Nelson, lasf, evening from Westport and on arrival received a dap, dilation of Nielson grocers.

The deputation comprised Messrs E. G. Wood, G. F. Kingston, J. Stewart, and J. Scott, and was introduced lay Mr T. A. H. Field, M.P. The grocers complained that the margin of profit allowed on butter was insufficient. owing to the increased wholesale prices.

Mr McDonald explained that, the butter trade was now controlled by the Imperial Supplies Department, and on its return to Welling;on the Board would ascertain the position and idvise the grocers by letter.
