ROAD BOARD SECRETARY CHARGED.
(United Press Association. , BLENHEIM, Thus D«v." •C: A'Court Opie, Clerk of the Peloru's Road Board, was charged with stealing 71 6s 2d, between June and October this year, the property of the Road Board. The information was slaid by G-. H. Richardson, Government auditor. Accused systematically short-banked money, whiifa was since refunded. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to Blenheim for sentence. Bail for £2OO himself, and l two sureties of £SO ea*h.
