DEATH IN THE SNOW.

(United Press Association.) OAMA-RU, July 2. George Stringer, a runholder, of Otekaike, died in the snow last night. He went out at 4 p.m. yesterday over Otekaike Peak, mustering, accompanied by a man named Aston. A violent .=no\vstorm enveloped them. .Stringer was seized with cramp while wading a. creek. Aston left to bring assistance, but lost his way, and was found by a search party miles off his course. Stringer was stiff when discovered. He was a- marlied man, without children.
