SOLDIERS IN HOSPITAL.
LETTER'S FROM OFFITER-S. (United Press Association.> WELLINGTON, May 14. The Minister of Defence has received some letters from officers of the Expeditionary Force dealing mainly \yith the treatment of soldiers in hospital. General 'Richardson states that the scheme for dealing with limbless soldiers has turned out a- great success. The men are keen, cheerful and hopeful as to their future- He is now organising a big scheme of edxication for ; the N"ew Zealand Expeditionary Force which will apply to men in hospitals |as well as to all fit men m units, lhe ! object is to encourage men to devote i their spare time to improving thenminds and making themselves better "Lionel Parkes wrote that there would shortly be despatched to 2-ew Zealand three mechanics, under Sapper Cook, who have received instruction in ■the best methods of artificial limb manufacture. He hopes before long to hear, not only of the repair but of the complete manufacture of limbs being accomplished in the Dominion.
