PRESIDENT WILSON'S MESSAGE UNANIMOUS PRAISE FROM THE PRESS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rec. April 9, 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April ~8. The Press is unanimous in praise of President Wilson's Baltimore speech. The New York World savs:—"lt is a reply to the Germans' military masters in terms that will not fail to comprehend. The President lias the support all elements of American citizenship." The New York Herald savs:—"President Wilson meets the German and Austrian peace drive in the only way it can be met, with honour, by pledgimr the national use of force without stint." NEW YORK, April 7. The New York Times says the words President Wilson has spoken will ring through the nation and uplift the spirit of the people, strengthening them to meet whatever sacrifice the war involves. AMERICA'S RESOURCES. A SPEEDING-UP DEPARTMENT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable .Association.) (Rec. April 9, 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 8. The Industries Board creates a Requisiton Division with plenary powers to control and speed up the nation's re sources and industries to meet the war needs.
