STATE FIRE OFFICE.
(United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 6. The annual report of the State _ Fire Office states that the profits for the* past year were greater than those in any previous year of its history. £2.900,000 had been added to the sum assured, bringing the total t't ncvivly £22,000.000 The net surplus iji - '.hi* year was £22,■5Ol. The net income was £91,380, an increase of £8686 over that for the previous year. The let losses amounted to £27,302. For the purpose of assisting war finance there had been paid over to the Government in loans and taxation £88 } 923.
