ESPIONAGE ARRESTS IN FRANCE
FURTHER REVELATIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Cabla Association) (Rec. March 5, 9.5 a.m.) PARIS, March 4. In connection with the espionage aTrests, on 6 involved is Tremblez, formerly a confidential agent of Rosenborg (the Austrian- 'banker, who lived in Paris till the war broke out and who engaged a staff of spies) at Paris, and the owner of a luxurious chateau in Brittainy. Another is Mrs Suzydephy, actress, who is the wife of the inan Guillain. The latter is also one of the gang. The Petit Parisien states that Tremblez told friend of his that his- Swiss affairs earned nim £l6 C,OOO.
Th e authorities searched his premises. This disclosed that he was communicating with. Germans. THey suspected that German submarines were obtaining, or were attempting to obtain, supplies from the coast of Brittainy, and they set a trap, Tyhich resulted in the arrests.
