WELLINGTON FRUIT AND PRODUCE MARKETS. ,'By Telegraph. —Special to Mail ) WELLINGTON 1 , March 1. Messrs Burbidge and Co report as follows on the Wellington FVuit and' Produce markets : Our market is fairly good for William pears, peaches, and plums. Apples, both cooking and dessert are fairly plentiful. Cui-rent prices are:— Coxs Orange 6s to 7s 6d, Ribstons 5a to 6s, Worcester Pearmain 5s to 6s 6d, Munros, Alfristons 4s 6d to 5s 6d, Reinette Canada 4s to ss. Pears.—Williams 5s to 7s ; Louise Bon Jersey 5s to 6s 6d; Marie Louise 5s 6d to 6s 6d; Clairgeau 4s 6d to 5s 6d; Vicars 5s bushel cases. Peaches, 3s, cooking 4s to ss. Dessert Plums, 4s to 5s 6d. Tomatoes, coloured, 4s to 5s 6d; green 3s to 3s 6d half case. Eggs 2s 2d to 2s 3d dozen. Fowls 3s 6d to 5s 6d. Ducks, 7s to 8s pair. Potatoes, 6s to 7s cwt. Griffiths and Co report as follows on the Wellington Fruit and Produce market : . Fair supplies, of nearly all fruit have come to hand this week from various areas and values have been fairly good under the circumstances. At time of writing we advise moderate regular shipments as the best means to secure payable averages. To-day s values are as follows : Pears.—Fair demand, supplies increased during the week, W.8.C., extra choice Hawke's Bay, machine graded 7s 6d to 6s 6d; Motueka, Nelson and Southern 5s to 7s bushel; ripe approaching ripe at lower values. V.icars 4s 9d to 5s 6d bushel; Marie Louise, and 'Capiaumont wanted, Clairgear, 4s 6d to 6s 6d ; Louise Bonne Jersey, extra choice 6s to 7s, all at per bushel. Apples: Choice Cox's Orange Pippin 6s 6d c , to 7s 6d, others 5s 6d to 6s, best cookers 4s 'Bd to ss, others 3s fed to 4s 6d, Jonathan, choice well coloured, 6s to 7s. Plums : Canterbury 5s to 5s id. Nectarines: Teviot 7s 6d to 8s Cd half case. Peaches : Teviot, extra choice 8s; others 6s to 7s; Hawke's Bay best 4s 6d to 5s 6d; others 3s to 4s; Nelson and Motueka 4s to 6s. Tomatoes, choice round ripe 4s 6d; others 3s to 3s 6d half case. Grapes, choice Hutt Is to Is 4d; others 9d to lid; Nelson large Is to Is 3d, small 7d to 9d. 'Capegooseberries in excellent demand. Vegetables in lair supply.

ALDINGTON STOCK MARKET. LINES FROM NELSON. I United Pkess Association.] iCHHISTOHURCH, Feb. 27. At the Addington yards to-day the 1 jntry of store sheep was a good one, including lines from' Nelson. The denand was keen right through the sale for anything good. The range of prices .vas:—Two-tooth ewes, 22s 9d to Sis ; 4 ind 6-tooth -ewes, to 36s- 3d ; 6 and 8ooth ewes, to 33a 10d; sound-mouth 3wes, to oos 9d ; 2-tooth wethers, to 26s 6d; 4 and; 6-tooth wethers-, to 31s .d : 6 and 8-tooth- -wethers, to 30s 6d ; •ap e lambs, 20s to 25s 8d ; medium, 17s ,d' to 19s lOd ; lighter and cull, to 17s. There were 3139 fat lambs yarded, as ;ompared with 2210 last week. Prices ■emained on a par with the previous ale. The range of prices was: —Extra >rime, to 34s 2d; "prime, 26s Id) to 29s O<L lighter, 22s 8d to 265. There were pproximately the same number of enries of fat sheep a® last week, andittle difference in values. Ewes were slightly cheaper. The range of prices -.-as:—Extra prim e wethers, to 40s; prim 0 wethers, 34s to 38s 8d; lighter, fs to 33® 3d ; Merino wethers, 19s to i 22s 6d j extra prime ewes, to 35s 9d : -ime ewes, 32s 6d< to 33s 7d; -medium, 27s lOd to 30s 9d; lighter, 27s to 27e 6d. Th e yarding of fat cattle was rather smaller. There was a large /roportion of cow foeef. The quality vas fair all through. The range of irices was :—Extra prime steers, to £22 L7s 6d'; prime steers, £l4- to £l9; ordinary steers, £ll 17s 6d to £l6 10s-: mime heifers, £ll- 5s to £ls 12s 6d ordinary, £9 to £11; prime cows, £l2 LOs to £l7 2s 6d ; ordimry, £9 to £l2. There was a very keen, sale of vealers, and th e market" was swept of larger sorts. Prices:—Runners, £2 10s ; good •ealers., £3 2s 6d to £5 10s 1 ; fair, £2 "v? to £2 8s; small and inferior, 6s to 38s. Store cattle prices remained unchanged. There was- a large entry of 'airy cows of uneven, quality. A few extra good; sorts -brought £l7; xnoder■?e, £7 10s to £9 10s; inferior, £5 12s 6d to £7. There was a small entry of store pigs. Best stores, 55s to 69s 5cL; medium, 45a .to 545; small', 28s' to 10s; weaners, 22& to 275. There was i- medium entry of fat .pigs, and the Government bacon price regulation quietened the demand. ■ Choppers, £4 •Os to £6 4s ; extra heavy baconers, £5 >s to £5 12s ; heavy baconers. £5 10s: icrht baconers, £3 15s to £4 10s (equal o Rd; per lb); heavy/ porkers, 57s 6d 70s; lighter, 50s to 55s (equal to BJ,-d o 9d per lb).
